Ms. Keys has a sneeking suspicion of the orgin of "gangsta rap"

If you haven't heard already Alicia Keys was recently interviewed by Blender Magazine and decided to share some rather interesting thoughts on "gangsta rap"

‘Gangsta rap’ was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. ‘Gangsta rap’ didn’t exist.’

Keys, 27, said she’s read several Black Panther autobiographies and wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck ‘to symbolize strength, power and killing ’em dead,’ according to an interview in the magazine’s May issue, on newsstands Tuesday.

Another of her theories: That the bicoastal feud between slain rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. was fueled ‘by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing.’”

Online the rumours of her Mel Gibson's "Conspiracy Theory" have been running rampid. Although while seemingly off point I don't she's crazy as a lot of bloggers are thinking.  The best way to describe it would be the way Jay Smooth did:

So, question to you all…has she gone off the deep end or does wifey have a good point (just misunderstood as it is)?
